The shop opened early in May 2009, with plans to develop a sustainable, self financing business by offering a combination of competitively priced basic products with locally produced fresh fruit, vegetables and meat. It provides a scaled down postal service, teas/coffees, papers and a small range of services and specialist items such as locally produced cream, biscuits, honey. In the future, when viable, it plans to add watercress from the local beds for which Ewelme is famous. - The National Trail Site – featuring the “Ridgeway”

National Trails are long distance routes for walking, cycling and horse riding through the finest landscapes in England and Wales. In Scotland the equivalent trails are called long distance routes. They have all been created by linking existing local footpaths, bridleways and minor roads and by developing new ones where there were gaps. There are 15 Trails in England and Wales (when complete 2 of these will be suitable for use by horse riders and cyclists along their entire length) and 4 in Scotland. - Visit South Oxfordshire
